Dallas County Justice of the Peace & Constable’s Precinct Three
JP3 is the BLUE area, referred to in Texas legal terminology as a “Justice Precinct”
Precinct Three covers approximately 175 square miles and over 660,000 population (2000 Census figures) and is the largest Justice Precinct in population in northern Texas. JP3 includes 209 Voting (Electoral) Precincts and the following 7 cities and areas within northern Dallas County:
- The Dallas County portions of the Cities of Richardson, Addison, Carrollton, and Farmers Branch, over to Coppell (but not into that City)
- The entirely-encompassed City of University Park and Town of Highland Park (“Park Cities”) and areas surrounding SMU including Greenway Parks & Love Field-East
- The northern & northeastern portions of the City of Dallas:
- Far North Dallas (all areas within Dallas County)
- Preston Hollow, Brookhaven
- NorthPark and north through Preston Oaks, Hillcrest, Northwood Hills, Royal Oaks, Hamilton Park, Texas Instruments, and Richland College area
- East of Lemmon Avenue, east of Love Field Airport, through “Uptown”
- East side of Central Expressway, approximately north of Lemmon Avenue intersection, north of downtown Dallas area
- North up Central Expressway and east through the “M Streets” area
- The circumference of White Rock Lake and Northeast Dallas areas of Hillside, Lakewood, Old Lake Highlands, Upper Lake Highlands, East Grand, Forest Hills, Casa Linda, Lochwood, Casa View, Eastfield/DAC/LaPrada area, out to the Garland and Mesquite city limits (but not into those cities)
